Quilt for an Hour

I finished Judy's july quilt challenge. I stopped at three borders.
My challenge for august is to finish up the other ones that I started. I have 4 of them.

All the blocks are done on this one. I need to sew all the rows together and make the borders.

Gratitudes only has the inner blocks done. The first ones needs two halves sewn together and the borders. The fishys are for the back. My leaves needs their borders. Can't decide between the top two or the bottom ones.

hourglass quilt

I started this quilt a few years ago. I made all the blocks and sewed them into rows. It then got put away for another project. So while mulling over my hour a day challenge quilt, I pulled this one out....sewed the rows and the borders. It's now ready for quilting....I was thinking either baptist fans or swirls. While I think about it I'm going to finish the hour quilt.

One of these ones........

I mean lots of these ones are not like the others......aarrgggggggg I sewed them wrong....no wonder it takes me so long to get these together. Judy does it in 12 hours....puts together a gorgeous quilt. It takes me 1200 hours and I still don't get them done. I have 3 more to frog but I'm done for the nite.

busy with potter

I'm reading Harry Potter....trying to get it read before someone spoils the ending. A little behind on the Hour a day challenge but not too far.

the twilight zone

I feel as though I've landed in the twilight zone today. I'm being invaded by these very large horse flies. I have already killed a dozen of them, trapped two of them in one of my windows. I have no idea where or how they are getting in here. Maggie, my attack kitty, lets me know they are here....she will not rest until they have been hunted down and slaughtered. I'm hoping to soon be released from this strange land.

I had to go to BJ's for a few things and I saw this cute table that I thought would be good for my embroidery machine. I got this rolling cart to try and help myself get a bit more organized. It sometimes seems pretty hopeless at times.

I am progressing on the HAD blocks....moving along quite nicely.

I'm a bad blogger

I just realized that I haven't posted anything new in 3 weeks. I can't believe how fast the days fly by. I'm working on Judy's hour quilt. My penguins are sitting waiting for some wool to be felted. I did machine applique a dresden plate block...a little funky but I like it. I have another block ready for some buttonhole stitching. I dyed some fabric that I didn't like and now love. I'm using it in the hour a day quilt.
