These are the fabrics I've chosen for the color palette challenge. I'm going to make these shapes with the fabrics and applique them on to the white background. Those are my thread choices and I'm going to use the red rickrack in some way. Go check out Judy's blog to see what others are working on. Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by.

design wall monday
My borders are done. I'll sew them on tomorrow along with the outer border and she's done.
I thought this would make a nice little kitty quilt. Go on over to Judy's and see what everyone else is up to.

four patch borders
I'm happily working on my 4 patch blocks for the next border. As I start sewing the blocks I'm thinking 154 sets is awful lot when I only need 2 sets of 18 and 19 blocks for each border. I cut, stitched and pressed 10 extra strip sets. Didn't think about the blocks I had already completed. That's what I get for waiting so long to finish a project.
Need to think of another project that I can use these sets in. I am very glad I realized my mistake before I made all those bazillion extra blocks.
I hope you are having a wonderful day. The sun is shining here after a week of rain and clouds. Life is good!

bloom where you're planted
This is a pattern from Judy's book. It was started a long time ago when she was doing the quilt for an hour quiltalongs. I think it's percolated long enough. I'm going to finish it and give it to my niece. The kitties sort of remind me of her.
The fabrics are by Red Rooster designed by Terri Degenkolb from Whimsical Quilts.
These are for the borders and the 4 patch blocks.
The kitties make me smile.

color palette challenge
I finally finished my quilt top for April's Color Palette Challenge. I'll be quilting it in June as I follow along with Judy's feather class. I'm looking forward to it.
