Ice Storm

This is what the trees along the driveway look like on a normal day and this is what we woke up to on Friday morning.

Luckily it was just bent over from the weight of the ice and wasn't broken.

Everything was covered in ice. We lost our power for 24 hours.....many are still without it. It was a little chilly but not so bad that we couldn't get warm. Thankfully the house is well insulated.

Tim and the cats were awake most of the night during the storm.....I slept through all the racket. He said all you could hear was cracking and limbs crashing down. We are very blessed and have no damage to our house or the cars. Many were not so lucky.

This is what the yard looks like now....it will be quite a cleanup.

We're counting our blessings and very happy that we have a chainsaw. :)

Santa's elves are a little behind in their work and need to get busy in the workshop. The time is flying by so quickly.

Thanks for stopping by.....your visits are always welcomed and enjoyed!

Ice storms are really beautiful but what a mess they leave behind!

So glad you didn't have damage! Chainsaws are such a wonderful tool - scary but wonderful. =) I'll bet there were beautiful parts to it all.

That sounds bad, good you didn't get any bad damages. Nature can be hard!

WOW! You've been hit! The storm missed us! Of course we had an aweful one back in 97. Everyone is safe, that's the most important. Keep well! Hugs!
