Sunday report

I'm happy to report that nothing was added to the stash this week. I did manage to sew 48 string blocks....I'll be putting the top together this week.

Today I took a class with Jackie Paton.....we did a quilt scene using paint sticks. It was a fun day and I was happy with the outcome. There were 12 of us taking the class and each top was so different. The next photo shows how she finished the quilt. I'm going to go through my stash and pull some fabrics to finish mine. :)

A Worthy Cause

dishrags and kitty cats

Since I have nothing quilty to show you I thought I would entertain with my knitting skills and pictures of "the girls". This is the second dishcloth I knitted....the first one was too big. I'm happy with the results and so I've started another one.

I very often find the girls sitting in the same position....they are looking for the birds. We've had a lot of crows lately and those just drive them wild. They run from window to window chattering away.

This is MY chair. It's a canadian rocker that my Dad had bought for my Mom....she loved it so.

Did I tell you that this is MY chair.....I'm really excited for the day when I might get to use it. :)

April Fools

I got an email from Kim in regards to my cake post awhile back. Seems as though Jay Leno had the very same picture on his show last week. I emailed the cousin from whom I had snagged the pictures to ask if he had heard about it. He thought it was a very funny April Fool's joke. I thought oh boy....she got me...lol I thought that was very clever of her and couldn't believe she got me.
